The Problem

  • Paper menus are expensive to print and update
  • No flexibility for quick changes
  • No translations for international customers
  • Recurring costs for reprints
  • Impossible to track most-viewed dishes

The Solution

  • Digital menu accessible via QR code
  • Real-time edits with no extra costs
  • Automatic translations in 20+ languages (DeepL)
  • One QR code, unlimited updates
  • Dashboard with analytics and insights

The Project

BravoMenu was born from the need to modernize menu management in restaurants. The platform allows owners to create, customize, and update their digital menus independently, without technical skills.

The system is designed to be fast, responsive, and fully customizable. Each restaurant can build its own digital menu, add logos, colors, images, and manage multiple languages with ease thanks to DeepL integration. Customers scan the QR code and instantly access the menu in their preferred language.

  • Intuitive dashboard for full management

  • Unlimited categories and items system

  • Automatic translations with the DeepL API

  • HD image upload and optimization

  • Colors, logo, and brand customization

  • Scalable multi-tenant SaaS architecture

  • Responsive, mobile-first design

  • Secure authentication and user management

Technology Stack

The application is built with Next.js (App Router) to ensure top performance and SEO-friendliness, React with TypeScript for type safety and maintainable code, and Tailwind CSS for fast, consistent styling.

The backend is powered by Supabase, providing a PostgreSQL database, integrated authentication, serverless APIs, and image storage. Integration with the DeepL API ensures high-quality translations. Deployment runs on Vercel for maximum performance, a global CDN, and automatic scalability.

Responsive, Mobile-First Design

The project was developed with a mobile-first approach, ensuring an optimal experience across all devices. The UI dynamically adapts to screen sizes, maintaining top-level readability and usability.

Every element was designed to work perfectly on smartphones, where most users view the menu. Dish images are optimized for fast loading even on slow connections, while category navigation remains smooth and intuitive.

The digital menu supports native touch gestures, such as swiping between sections and zooming to view dish details. Typography is tuned for maximum readability even in low-light environments, typical of restaurants.

The multilingual translation system works flawlessly on mobile as well, allowing international customers to switch languages with a simple tap, making the experience accessible to everyone.
